About Me…

I am a new graduate of UCD’s master’s degree programme, Library & Information Studies. My course finished in August 2012, with the completion of my thesis project and I am currently waiting for the final results, which are expected to arrive at the end of October.

This blog was created for a management module that is geared toward experiencing and evaluating professional issues that arise in information and library careers.  The purpose of this ePortfolio is to provide a platform for better understanding and discussion of the various issues in this profession with colleagues of the same discipline, as well as showcase my professional development and goals.  It is my aspiration that this will enable me to develop my professional awareness of the library and information profession.

The ePortfolio is organised via competencies that I feel accurately describe my best professional skills. Reflections are divided based on the two management modules that they are written for. I also have several tags on each of my posts, so the tag cloud may also be used to connect my posts in a different way. As different people like to view information in various ways, I wanted to ensure that my blog addresses this in its organisation.
